For my Creative Horizons Academy website, a personal project to showcase my web development skills, I started by designing a prototype in Figma and building it with PHP, SCSS, JavaScript, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) in Visual Studio Code. Following web design best practices, I created a custom WordPress theme with dynamic blocks for features like art showcases, instructor profiles, and course details. I used SCSS for responsive styling, JavaScript for interactive elements like smooth scrolling and dynamic galleries, and managed version control with Git while transferring files between local and production environments using FileZilla.
This project focused on creating a clean, accessible, and visually engaging experience. Using GSAP for animations and thoughtful typography, I brought the design to life in a way that felt both professional and creative. The structured workflow—from prototyping to deployment—helped me refine my skills and build a website that demonstrates a solid understanding of modern web design and development.
